Principal and founder of ARTANAKA, Alexander is an Architect and designer with experience in planning, restaurant, residential, retail, corporate and mixed use projects. Alexander values user centered design with a focus on the materiality of a project. He is well versed in sustainable concepts and technologies like the 15-min city, mass timber and zero carbon architecture and brings that passion to all aspects of his work.

A strategist and futurist at heart, he focuses on urbanist thinking and how it applies to development and the future of the city. Alexander has significant experience in real estate development solutions - utilizing design thinking to assess the viability of projects and opportunities through an architectural lens. By harnessing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and real estate proforma tools, Alexander can quickly asses potential project performance metrics. The additional overlay of building and zoning code knowledge that Alexander brings, helps to validate these project performance metrics within the feasibility of real world constraints.

He has a full suite of technical skills with strengths in 3D modeling, rendering and technical project development utilizing BIM software. Alexander’s attention to the rigor of design standards, while being imaginative within their framework is exemplified in his work.
